About AAPUK
Born from the ever-expanding clinical work of the Ayurvedic Clinic and the education provider Ayurveda Institute UK and with their continued support and collaboration, the AAPUK can offer an unparalleled level of support and representation for Ayurvedic Professionals in the UK and abroad. The AAPUK benefits also from its collaboration with the Institute of Indigenous Medicine at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
During the late 19th century and the 20th century a great revival movement of this science began. This re-established the study of Ayurveda in Universities in the East and has generated new research and renewed interest in Ayurveda across the world.
The call for a vital and effective organization capable of representing and protecting this traditional system of medicine and Ayurvedic professionals in the UK and overseas emerged as the work of the Ayurvedic Clinic and the Ayurveda Institute UK grew over the years. In recognition of this, the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals UK was established.
