Chronic Symptoms

Persistent digestive issues, chronic skin conditions, stubborn hormonal imbalances, and recurring pain that haven’t responded to conventional treatments often have deeper roots that Ayurveda can effectively address.

Holistic, bespoke & natural

Ayurveda regards each individual as unique and so recognises the need for a customised approach to balance and true well-being. We are each a combination of three doshas (constitutions), Vata, Pitta and Kapha, with one or two being predominant. It the specific make up of our constitution or Prakriti, taken together with many other factors such as genetic background, geography, diet, lifestyle, relationships, work which determines our unique nature. Our specific constitutional make-up is as unique to us as our DNA code. It is the imbalance in our constitution or Prakiti which causes disorder in the body and mind.

Identifying the root cause of disorder

Dr Deepika Ayurvedha CLinic

Determining which of the dosha is imbalanced and thus the root cause of disease requires extensive knowledge and experience.

At your initial consultation especially, be prepared to talk about yourself. Ayurveda emphasises balance in all areas of life and so the physician will be using various diagnostic methods to examine your body as well as taking an extensive personal and medical history. This may include amongst other matters, an understanding of your diet, your professional life and working conditions, relationships, mental health and exercise routines.

In this way the Ayurvedic Physician is able to identify the potential causes of imbalance in the mind or body and can provide a bespoke treatment plan that will include dietary advice, herbal medicines and any other Ayurvedic treatments.

Dr Deepika Rodrigo (BAMS) and the team of BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) doctors have counselled and healed thousands of people. Your consultation is confidential, and you can rest assured that you are in the hands of compassionate, authentic healers.

Overview of Ayurvedic Treatments

Diet and Nutrition Ayurvedha Clinic

Diet and Nutrition

Dietary and nutritional practices are vital to healthy living and food is used as medicine as an important component of every Ayurvedic treatment plan. Dietary practices are tailored to each individual’s constitution and taking into account all factors such as cultural background, age, climate, lifestyle, season etc.

herbal food supplements and herbal medicines

Herbal Food Supplements and Formulated Herbal Medicines

The ancient practice of administering herbal medicines is key to treatment and is considered a precise science requiring deep knowledge of plants and their effect on human physiology, biochemistry and psychology. The action and effect of each herb is determined by its rasa (taste), guna (attribute), virya (active potency), vipak (post-digestive effect) and prabhava (special quality).

Ayurvedic Massage Therapies

Ayurvedic Massage Therapies

All treatments are performed by experienced Ayurvedic therapists with an expertise in Panchakarma treatments and special procedures. They work under the supervision of the Physician who advises on specific medicated oils to use and specific procedures.

Panchakarma Therapy

Panchakarma Therapy

Panchakarma therapy is a deep purification method that removes toxins or ama from the body. The therapy includes Abhyanga oil massage, shirodhara (medicated oil poured onto the third eye chakra to pacify the central nervous system), pinda sweda (steamed, herbal poultices used to stimulate points in the body), steam bath and basti (warm medicated herbal oil enema) and any of a number of other appropriate treatments in addition.
