Born and raised in the lush landscapes of Sri Lanka, Dr. Deepika developed a deep connection with nature and an early appreciation for the healing power of plants. This lifelong passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at the University of Colombo.
To further enhance her practice and teaching, she completed a Master’s in Medical Education at the prestigious Hull York Medical School in the UK. With nearly three decades of continuous clinical experience, Dr. Deepika has become a well-respected figure in the UK’s natural health community. Her expertise has been shared through her work at renowned London clinics, including the Hale Clinic and the Kailash Centre of Oriental Medicine.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Deepika has been a passionate educator of Ayurveda. Her evidence-based and experience-driven teaching has inspired practitioners from around the world, many of whom are now respected Ayurvedic professionals themselves. Her lectures are known for blending ancient wisdom with modern application, making Ayurveda accessible, profound, and practical.
Since 2000, Dr. Deepika has led her own established Ayurvedic clinic in London, which also houses an educational entity – the Ayurveda Institute. Here, she leads a dedicated team offering authentic Ayurvedic treatments and quality teaching. Her approach to education attracts professionals from diverse fields, eager to explore Ayurveda not just as a science, but as a true art of healing.
